    Installing IOS 58 on 4.3U

Hello everyone. I'm trying to install HBC on a used Wii. I had no problem installing letterbomb from the please hack me dot com. But it freezes on the scam warning screen. I am told I can list my IOS from the SD card but I can't find a dump file on there. I'm pretty sure that GAMESTOP deleted some of the files when they repackaged he wii for resale and are missing some of the important IOS's.

Installing IOS 58 is the target here. I'm going to replace the boot.elf with the old bannerbomb wad installer program to first install 58.

Can anybody tell me if this is the right program to use? Is there a tutorial for this?

140 views and I get this. Thanks- I found Maui frogs guide for casper's Hacdk mii freeze fix program and ran the guide with no avail. It was supposwed to do exactly what I said to do. Start the WAD installler mprogram. but it didn't work.

The casper program started then exited.

I did not like the guide at all. Is there another one?

    You're a bit ungrateful there...

Try hackmii 1.1.0, it may work. Download it from bootmii.org

We're actually doing a favor to you by trying to help you, so if you don't want it, you're free to leave.

I don't know what you're ta;lking about. The fix is located here.
    casper-hackmii-fix.zip
Copy the boot.elf file from the postloader folder onto the card root. run the Letterhack and postloader should start. Postload is exactly like HBC. From there you can run any app you want.

I suggest this method over the other. I do appreciate you trying to help.

What im telling is, the check you posted isn't a sysCheck, but the installer.log of hackmii. It says loading hackmii 1.2.

That means the hackmii installer boot.elf is v1.2. Instead of that, try hackmii installer v1.1.0 boot.elf. It may work.

Thanks- but I was able to install HBC with Postloader. After that I was having trouble getting trucha bug installed. MMM would not work. So I went with NUS downloader and downloaded IOS 36 with all the patches and put it on the SD card along with the old ios 15. . Then I went with the New PIMP MY WII and loaded the old IOS 15. The using the pimp my wii WAD INSTALLER, choose the ios36 patched wad file and again. total success. If you're wondering why you can't delete any of your stubs, it's because you don't have the trucha bug installed.

That reminds me I' will have to update my IOS 15 again.

I still cannot get any of my usb loaders to work. I will try installing Hermes 5 and CIOX next. I also found out the IOS 58 is in the 4.3 update so that's not the problem.

Just to let you guys know, HackMii 1.2 is for the WiiUs virtual Wii
Stick with HackMii Installer 1.1 and you should be ok.

To simplify it just do as the post below this one recommends, follow the Softmod ANY Wii Guide.

You should follow the Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my sig). It will give you all the cIOS you need (and pretty much everything else).
