Thread: My Wii is running sluggish/slow.

  1. #1

    My Wii is running sluggish/slow.

I never use to have this problem but it seems when I play any games on my Wii, every couple of frames will skip. I'm running games through a HDD incase that matters.

I'm not too sure what else to say, because up until a few days ago everything was fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Could be a number of things really but i would suggest that your hd might be playing up, a good way to test that would be to try a disc or a usb stick

Sadly my disc drive doesn't work :P That's why I started using a HDD. How would I use a USB stick? Would I have to format it or not? Usually they are flash memory correct? Would it be as simple as copy and pasting a game onto a flash stick then plugging it in?

basically yes, just format the stick the same as the hd and copy the contents of the hd over so u have the same file structure

I remember I had to format my HDD to a certain format possibly FAT32? I can't remember haha! But other than that it should be similar correct?

I probably won't be able to test this out until later on tonight... I have to go to work in about 30 minutes haha!

Thanks for all the help so far though!

Just plug the hd into your pc and check the format then format the memory stick accordingly
