Thread: Everything works fine now, but for some reason, 1 game won't show up on USB Loader

Question Everything works fine now, but for some reason, 1 game won't show up on USB Loader

So after much trial and error I finally managed to install homebrew, get the usb loader working (Haven't managed to figure out how to make it a channel, having trouble finding clear instructions and working downloads "/) and have some playable games on the External Hard drive. However one game won't show up for some reason, Super Mario Galaxy 2

It was the first thing I had, I installed it onto the extrenal hard(EXD) drive on the homebrew channel when the disk was in. It worked fine, channel was on there and was perfectly playable. I managed to get about 20 stars before I turned in for the night. However when I started putting other games on my EHD, Super mario Galaxy 2 dissapeared from playable games however WBFS manager finds the file when I connect my Hard Drive to the computer. I decided to delete it from the hard drive and reinstall it, but it never showed up anywhere. So I decided to delete it then torrent it hoping it would produce a different result. Sadly it did not.

Can anyone help me to understand why this is happening and possibly offer a fix to the situation?

What loader are you using? Does the title even come up on the loader's menu?

I take it that your hard drive is formatted with the WBFS file system? I would suggest going to FAT32. I had a lot of issues with games no loading and/or needing to be deleted and re-ripped on a regular basis with WBFS. FAT32 solved those problems.

I figured it out. I was using USB Loader GX 3.0 ends up it was only showing favorited games, but ie never remember favorting any games. Anyway problem is solved but now I have another one.

Half of my games are loading in black and white. I have gone to the game settings and changed it so "Video Mode" it's "Force NTSC." While that has fixed or or two games (Metroid Prime) Many others aren't fixed (Mario Party 8, Pikmin 2) Why is this happening? I've changed video mode to everything else available and they've all still loaded the game in Black & White with the exception of "Force NTSC" and "Force NTSP480p" which doesn't even load the game, instead the screen goes black, the wii remote turns off and can't connect to the wii despite the fact the wii is still on. The only way to turn off the wii is to unplug it from the back. How can I fix this? What is going on?

All Games are ISO format on my external hard drive, I hacked my wii with letterbomb and immodeatly after installing Homebrew and Hackmii I Extracted USB Loader GX files onto my SD card then loaded it up on the HBC and tried playing the games off my External Hard drive.

After following all instructions, the same Black & White problem persists, what do I do now?

Should I give another Sys check? If so how do I make a spoiler to put it in?

The black and white issue is probably from you trying to play out of region games. Go get the games from your region and you shouldn't have those issues.

Is there anything I can do in the settings of the loader to fix that?

I Also probably should have mentioned this earlier and I don't know why I didn't, but I set everything up on my HD tv and after plugging in my wii to my tube tv this problem occurs. I read somewhere this is a common problem, is this true?

Ahhhh, yep that would have helped. Plug it back into your HDTV and change the cable settings back to composite.
