Child Proofing Help
I was able to find a bootmii/boot2 system at gamestop (which serial number was listed in the "not working section" in the boot2 serial number list - but thats another story) and softmodded using the Mauifrog Guide. This was my 4th successful mod and is intended to be an xmas gift for my 6 year old niece / 4 year old nephew. My question is this - I want to make sure this thing is as brickproof as possible. If anyone would offer their assistance, I would very much appreciate it. (in my experience - everyone is always helpful on this site - so I'm sure someone can help). This is what I have done so far:
1. As mentioned above - bootmii installed as boot2
2. priiloader set to block disc and online updates
3. going to set priiloader to boot directly to USB loader GX
4. backing up all games purchased for them onto hard drive and use loader always
I can't really think of anything else short of maybe not connecting it to the internet so that even in the event they mess with the settings, they can't update....????
Any thoughts/suggestions/comments? Thanks in advance.
I have a soon-to-be 6 year old a 4 year old boy who pretty much reign over my Wii (and three teenage girls). From my experience, the best you can hope for is to give them the controllers and hope they don't fudge it up too bad.... lol
Seriously though, the worst thing that I've encountered are channels being moved, or, one day, I looked up and saw BootMii on the screen... *gasp* "Nonononono....."
Auto boot to loader. Use configurable usb mod. Use parental controls to disable everything. Hide adult titles. Been working here for some time w a 6 and 8yo.

Thanks for the reply Blu. I actually tried autoboot to installed file in Priiloader but it didn't work. Is there some sort of trick to it, or is it as simple as installing file, autoboot to installed file and return to autoboot? If so....can I just use to dol from the folder in the apps folder on my SD? I prefer to use USB Loader GX - and the dol in this GUIDE isn't there. (it's actually the only broken link ironically). Thanks.
