Wii shows Black & White (no color)!

    Hi guys,

I have a purchased unit of Wii console modded from JP. I recently brought this to UK and lo and behold was i surprised that my Wii only played in Black and White. It was ok once i booted the games from Gecko though.

    So my question is:
is it because my Wii console hardware is NTSC? UK runs on PAL.

    Experiments:
I went and purchase the SCARTS cable to try and make it work, but to no avail. It led me to believe it's a Wii hardware compatibility issue, and no cable can easily solve it.

    All comments are welcomed!

does your tv support NTSC and 60h ?

this sounds very strange...if your wii displays color in the wii menu why should it be in black n white when you use a PAL game? do jp games work fine?? this effect normally happens when you try to play a NTSC game on a PAL wii without having NTSC support for your TV.

try changing your video mode from NTSC to PAL using tonas anyregionchanger; or if this doesn't help why not change the complete firmware to 3.2E? then it definitely has to work.

if your on 3.4 you'll have to downgrade first though ^^
