Could be the color system. Are you trying to play an NTSC game (USA) on a PAL console.

If you are using USB Loader GX - then click the button that looks like a gear and in that menu one of the options will allow you to "Force NTSC"

Black and white typically occurs when you are trying to play an out of Region game... I.e. if your Wii is 4.3U which is NTSC and you are trying to play a PAL game. Another option would be to just obtain a copy of the game that matches the region of your Wii.

Basically it's simple - you shouldn't be able to play a PAL game on a US Wii...but the USB loaders allow you to. You just have to enter the correct settings.

You can determine the region for your system by going to the Wii menu and choosing Settings, it should display at the top right your system version and a letter corresponding to your region, U is USA, J is Japanese and E is just about everything else.

    1. Try another TV. A lot of PAL TVs will work with NTSC.
    2. Look for a video patch option in your game loader.
