    OK I admit it I'm lost - Upgrading from 4.1 -> 4.3 for Skylander

OK, I have a softmodded wii that I softmodded ages and ages ago.....

It is currently on version 4.1.

I picked up a copy of Skylanders for my son and now need to update to 4.3 and am a little lost on how to proceed.

My first thought was to just go ahead and do the update from the skylander disk, let it do its thing and then do a fresh softmod following the guide from this site. To be honest I don't know if that is the correct way to do things though because to be honest I'm not even sure if I've loaded anything on the wii to prevent updates......

Can somebody point me in the direction of a thread (i tried to search but got lost in all the clutter) that outlines the correct way to proceed?

    Thanks.

    install-priiloader-block-online-disc-updates-more.html
    - Download Priiloader v0.7 (the latest) from- HERE
    - Downoad the hacks for priiloader from here hacks_hash.zip
    - Extract the file and put the hacks_hash.ini file in the "priiloader" folder.
    SD card structure:
    SD:/apps/priiloader/hacks_hash.ini
Your priiloader files should look like this.
Now, turn on your Wii while pressing the "reset" button; priiloader should load. Select "System Menu Hacks" and enable the hacks you want.
I recommend: "Block Online Updates", "Block Disc Updates" hacks.
And you may need to update your cIOS. The original disc runs from IOS56, You could install these things individually, or you could update your entire mod using the Softmod ANY Wii guide (it will do all of the above plus get everything current).
Just follow it starting at the spoiler "Softmods with Homebrew Channel installed" or from Chapter 2
    Guide: Softmod ANY Wii
    >http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/98...ure-guide.html

Edit: First do the sys check, it will tell you if you have priiloader and all the cIOS you have. Then you could install priiloader and update your cIOS and you may play the disc or try any USB Loader to play the game.

    - Open the Homebrew Channel and load priiloader
    - Press +/A to begin installing Priiloader
    - When it finishes, it should reboot into priiloader. If it doesn't turn on the wii while holding the "Reset" button.

Edit:This is optional, use any USB Loader to play it from USB HDD or flash drive.

    USB Loader GX
    CFG USB Loader
    wiiflow v4.0.1 r431
update to CFG Loader r48 or USB Loader GX R1200,Replace the boot.dol in your SD or USB /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one.( r1200_IOS249)
Install USB Loader GX -UNEO_Forwarder Channel 5_1_AHBPROT.wad for USB Loader GX channel
    Default-FIX94v14b-forwarder-DWFA.wad for wiiflow channel
    Thanks!

    Will give it a shot.

    Seems pretty straight forward.

You do have Priiloader installed, Just hold the reset button until it pops up.
Once priiloader pops up, go in to system menu hacks and enable Block disc updates and Online updates.

You do however have old cios's...this can be fixed if you follow this guide.Link->D2x Cios Installation.

You could also go to the Soft Mod Any Wii Guide and start from Soft Mod With Homebrew Channel Installed.(I Recommend This Option.)
Follow that guide all the way through , if you choose to remod your wii.

Went to do as instructed and first issue.

Held in reset button and turned on Wii. PriiLoader v0.4 pops up. When I select system menu hacks it brings up the following error:

"Failed to mount fat device. Unable to find hacks.ini on nand".

Forget it. I'm an idiot. Forgot to put SD card back in Wii.

What I would do to be honest with you is....

    One, that priiloader is outdated.
Two,All of your ios's are bugged, they don't need to be.
Three, that guide will update everything...from your ios's to the cios's and your priiloader and HBC.
The link to the Guide is at the bottom of my signature.
