My kids Wii was softmoded a while back, by a friend not me, my experience in anything like this is next to zero. However I have USB Loader GX V2.1 R1080 and Configurable USB Loader v 65.
The main reason for taking any interest now is, I bought the original Skylanders starter pack for my youngest, but when loading the game it states it cant recognise the USB Wifi connector. I have tried different USB slots etc but to no avail. I've read a few posts here with people experiencing similar issues and have updated the cIOS etc. Unfortunately that means pretty much nothing to me, as this is the 1st time ive ever actually gone into the Homebrew channel!
Any help would be appreciated here, in a dummys type guide even better!
I have a 5 year old wanting to play with his Birthday present and asking me whether its fixed yet!

First off you need to read the Site rules and try your best to abide by them.
Also You need to realise that this site is here to help you make the most out of your Wii and not to help people with piracy!
Now we know the rules its time to find the right guide for modding your wii, I recommend the

And Bluphant's noobs guide - Basic introduction to wii hacking
There are also other guides which you can find in the Guides and tutorials section
Once you have completed the guide you need to ascertain if your wii is capable of playing backups via the disc drive or whether you need to be usb loading.
Wii's post 2009 generally cannot play backups via the disc drive and have to use usb loading.
I recommend usb loading anyway as you can add an remove your games easily and there is no wear and tear on your disc drive and no messing about with discs etc.
