GameStop started taking pre-orders for the Wii U on Thursday and announced a trade-in bonus for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and the Wii.
The highest trade-in value of the five consoles is the Playstation 3 at $140 while the lowest is the Wii at just $50. In between are the rest at differing values based on which particular model of the console is being traded in. GameStop PowerUp Reward members can get an extra $10 of trade-in value though.
Here's the complete breakdown of the Wii U trade-in values at GameStop. Note that the retailer requires a $50 deposit for pre-orders. GameStop PowerUp Rewards members have a $25 deposit.
PS3 Slim - $140 trade-in value
PS3 Original - $115 trade-in value
Xbox 360 Slim - $115 trade-in value
Xbox 360 Original - $90 trade-in value
PS Vita - $90 trade-in value
Nintendo 3DS - $90 trade-in value
Wii - $50 trade-in value
The recently released Nintendo 3DS XL is not listed with a trade-in value by GameStop.
The Wii U releases on November 18 in North America with a $299.99 "Basic" white version that comes with 8GB of internal storage and a $349.99 "Premium" black model that has 32GB of internal storage, Nintendo Land, vertical stand, charging cradle for the GamePad and a Nintendo Network Premium subscription.
