    Neogamma doesn't recognize game file

    Hi.

I recently burned a disc image file of a game (4GB) onto a DVD R (master) using Roxio. When I inserted the disc into NeoGamma and tried to run it, I recieved a message that said that there was no DVD disc in the slot. Any help with this problem would be greatly apprieciated.

A few questions before moving on:

    1) Have you hardmodded your Wii: (y/n)
    2) Is this a GameCube ISO/Wii ISO: (GC/Wii)
    3) Did you know that the rotation of a Wii Disc is reversed from that of a PC: (y/n)
    4) Have you thought about Softmodding your Wii instead of using Discs: (y/n)
[spoiler="Skeptical?"]Everytime I update u on a post, I download ALL of the files I need to help you install, and head straight to my wii to test them... I put my system at risk to help you out, so if I seem unsure, I'll get there... Don't criticize.

    1. no

    3. No, I inserted the DVD in the same direction as all my other game discs
    4. I think I already have? Homebrew and Neogamma.

I'm not sure if this is the problem but I was never able to instal dvdx. I just get error 2011 when I try that.

Its not dvdx related. I would suggest using imgburn instead. (Google it, its free) DVD +R or -R? -R gives better compatibility from my experience.

yes, I've attempted to use imgburn as well. However, I would prepare my blank disc using the Mastered format and then prepare to burn image on iso but could not continue because apparently my disc wasn't empty when it was. Should i be preparing it in the master format or the other format that allows you to delete stuff? or does it not matter?

You shouldn't have to prepare a blank dvd to burn a iso with imgburn. Put blank dvd-r in after opening Imgburn and it will recognize your disc and say ready when its ready. Search for your iso, add it, then set your burn speed at 4x and hit burn. This should work!

Thanks, that was helpful and I can now load the game. However, the game is only in black and white. Anything I can do to make it color?

Try forcing ntsc in the setting of neogamma or force pal. Not sure what region you are in.
