Thread: IOS to use?

    IOS to use?

I recently bought Lego Batman 2 and wanted to back it up on my hard drive. It successfully ripped to my hard drive, but when I try to play it I get a black screen. Am I using the wrong IOS? or wrong settings?
I'm running 4.3 and updated my IOSs with pimp my wii. I'm kind of a newbie here so be gentle.

Backup games run from cios not ios. How did you back up the disc? What loader are you using? Can you post a syscheck? and WHY THE HECK DID YOU USE PIMP MY WII??? It is commonly referred to as Brick my wii.

Hi. I am having issue loading usb loader. I downloaded the latest version and in the notes it says I have to use cios 249. In my HBC - About - it says I am on CIOS 58. now when I install USB loader and run it from HBC, I get the black screen with lots of codes - exception occured, code dump, stack dump...etc. Is this because my default CIOS is 58 and not 249 as indicated in usb loader notes? what is the solution to this? I have no idea what IOS is or CIOS - so when you respond please use simple english.

I have same problem with Wiiflow - I downloaded the latest version and I get this screen which says WIIFLOw advanced load game or partition and it does not recognise my hard drive partition - has this something to do with CIOS 58 or some other CIOSversion?

Just to confirm nothing is wrong with my WII or my hard drive - I am able to play games from configurable USB loader

The back up loaders use Cios's and your disc drive uses ios's when loading the Disc.

Homebrew Channel uses Ios58 to load the apps.
Try Deleting those two Loaders and reinstall them.

Like I said I'm kind of a newbie, that's why I used pimp my wii. Didn't cause any issues though. I used usb loader gx to back up and as the loader.

Thanks for the info and guide. I think I just had a bad rip. I looked at my disc and it has a circular scratch all the way around the outside of the disc. Several attempts to resurface it have failed and according to the wii, it's unreadable.

Help! After following that guide now some of my older games that worked fine before don't work. Like wii fit plus locks up on the health screen.
