    Modification Evidence (CiiSI)

I currently have a mint condition old-school Wii which, I am assuming and hoping is a virgin, boot2-capable, Wii, en-route to my house as we speak. I may not get to Softmod it for a few weeks, but I do plan on scrutinizing it thoroughly to make sure it's in tip-top working order. That said, what are some of the things that I can look for to evidence a softmod. Let's say for instance the seller had a botched softmod which didn't quite work right, so he removed the HBC and attempted to sell it. Are there any obvious tell-tale signs to look for that might indicate such? (short of hacking it, installing HBC, and running a SysCheck).

Personally, I would have asked for a screenshot showing the current time/date on the wii. Sure, he could use a different console, but you'd have complete proof he scammed you if the wii was a dud when you get it.
Other than that, I have no idea

I'm not too worried about that; if the Wii is a dud then I'll just get my money back. That's not a problem. What I AM worried about is a half-assed botched mod before-hand. If she ain't a virgin, then she's got to go....

If for some reason the person did mod, you should be able to just soft mod over everything that person had installed on to it.
Virgin or none virgin wii does not matter, especially if it's a Boot2 wii "As long as it works".
