i'm sorry i couldn't think of a more descriptive title. but here's my issue:
friend of mine modded my wii for me. i didn't want him to put any wii games on it, just snes/gba/gbc/sega so he only left me with an sd card and not an external hard drive. everything worked perfectly until my brother took the card for whatever reason and lost it. homebrew channel is still showing up on my wii. not really concerned about my saved files because i can always just start the games over but i just want to actually play them.
what do i need to have on the sd card so that my wii will recognize that the games are there and let me open them in homebrew? do i need to download the emulators again? are they just like regular computer emulators or a totally different file?
i'm so lost. sorry for being so noobish.
hey symphony_x,first off in these forums we dont support piracy, which in your thread it sounds like you are downloading roms that you dont own....well for your problem,im not really sure if i can help you but i think that you need to download homebrew channel and install it on your sd card and i think you are good to go,and also redownloading the emulators would be good(sorry if this doesnt help,i just recently soft modded my wii also).
psLyou run homebrew channel first then from there you should be able to run your emulators, but if your emulators dont show up then you made a mistake installing them).

You will need to get the, snes/gba/gbc/sega Emulator's and put them back on the Sd Card in the apps folder.
It will look like this SD:/Apps/Snes9gx/boot.dol
You will also need to put the Roms(Games) back on the Sd Card.
This will go to the root of the Sd Card, and will look like this...SD:/Snes9gx/Roms/3Ninja's.smc
Look here for emulator's for the wii.WiiBrew List Of Emulators

you need the emulators for wii and roms on either an sd or hdd. none of them are actually installed on your wii. no piracy tho.

do you know what type of files the emulators are supposed to be? i just found a genesis plus and it's a ".dmg" file.. doesn't sound right to me but i'm not sure which ones work on the wii.
I just downloaded it, and it gives you three files , icon.png, meta.xml, boot.dol.
All three of those files go in to a a Folder called Genplus_gx and that goes in to the apps folder on the Sd card.
