Need to get my Wii up to par..

I haven't really played with my Wii in over a year. I really want to start playing with it again, but it needs help. It's not playing a lot of newer games, or even games from a year ago. Older games play.

Here is the current setup:

• 3.2U
• Hard modded with WiiKey2
• Soft modded with HBC (obviously), and a USB HDD with CoverFlowder

It won't play games such as Super Mario Wii, Epic Mickey, and pretty much everything since..

Let me know what other details you need to get this up to par. I also have my brother's Wii that needs to be modded as it is still virgin. I want to do his right.. but need to get mine fixed first.

Any help would be fabulous..

It sounds like your Wii Soft mod is outdated.

Look at the bottom of my Signature for the Soft Mod Any Wii Guide.
Start From Soft Mod With Homebrew Channel Installed

Please Read The Guide A Few Times ,Then Proceed.
Follow that Guide all the Way Through.
Keep all question's to that thread, if you need assistance.

Just to confirm.. follow ALL the steps that follow after the "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed"? Like Part 2 (Homebrew, Bootmii), Part 3 (nand), Chapter 2, etc?

Or am I just doing the update.

Speaking of this?

If you would like to update your Wii IOS- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis
Download IOS Update.zip
Extract to sd:\
Overwrite files if asked

No that is what you are also going to install.

You will not need to do this part ....

Part 2- Optional Region Change

Wii Region Change
You will be changing to the region you installed above.
You can change to any region you like, even Korean.
Warning failure to complete this step could result in a semi brick, which could be unrecoverable- especially for KOREAN Wiis changing to another region. Make sure you do don't restart the Wii until the

softmod is complete.

This is most common when changing Korean/Japan wiis to USA
DO NOT RESTART THE WII UNTIL THIS PROCESS IS COMPLETE

Wii Shop Users-
If you use the Wii Shop channel, you must go into the wii shop and delete your account before starting chapter 2 of this guide. If you don't the wii shop will error.

Supported TV display-This is important
Ensure that your tv supports the display of the region you are changing to. If your TV does not support PAL, don't region change to PAL. Same goes for NTSC. If your TV does not support your selected display, you won't be able to see

the wii screen anymore.

From the HBC-
Launch ARCmod06_Offline

Select IOS236 - press A
Read the WARNING- press 1
You will see this error at the top screen "WARNING: AREA: SysMenu MISMATCH!"
This means your semi-bricked- which we are going to fix.
Use the wiimote, go down to-"system menu 4.1 installer"
Select "System Menu Region"
Change the region to USA (or Europe or Jap or KOREAN)
Go down to "Auto set from System Menu Region" -Press A
"WARNING: AREA: SysMenu MISMATCH!" error will go away
,
make sure it goes away
Do not install system menu 4.1
Verify that your settings are correct
Exit to the Homebrew Channel(do not restart)
HBC will loads
And also you will not need to install Cioscorp /Darkcorp.
