    Restoring wii problem...?

I'm terribly sorry if this has already been answered but I installed Homebrew Channel using the Letter Bomb method. I was using "MicrowaveSam's" example on youtube and install the bootmii ios on my 2GB Sandisk SD Card with the keys and nand files.
When I tried to restore my wii with the backup files it said something about Konami and pressing the z button with the quote "try harder hashimoto-san" appearing when I click on any button.

Is there any way of fixing this? BTW it is a black wii 4.3u.

Restoring your Bootmii as an ios is a risk.

You should only restore your Nand if you have bootmii as boot 2.

That back up of your nand and keys is in case you need to have it restored by a nand programmer.

What happened that you would try and restore it?
Stay away from youtube when it comes to modding your wii, they offer little to no support.

    I'll mirror Jax.

    1. There is, in my humble opinion, no reason to ever even attempt to restore a backup from a non boot2 wii. If you can get to launch bootmii, you can launch other applications (MMM/etc) which could repair whatever's busted.

    2. Please do not rely on random youtube videos. Thats like going to wikipedia for medical advice. You can do it, but it's not smart.

We do plan on using the hack wii to play through an external hard drive, I was just wondering why it wouldn't restore. I'll stay away from youtube tutorials from now on.

My cousin plans on hacking his 2007 wii, is there any safe tutorial to follow?

The only reason i can think of ,is because it's installed as An ios ...not as Boot 2.

Yes there is, Look at the bottom of my Signature for Soft Mod Any Wii Guide.

Follow that Guide In it's Entirety.

Please Post A System Check on the wii your having problems with.-->How TO Post A System Check
