Usb hdd not loading in Usb loader GX and homebrew channel is frozen until I unplug it

I've looked around all over the place trying to fix this issue after updating my wii softmod and apps and can not find a solution at all. My wii is an NTSC/U 4.1 and it used to work just fine before I updated to the latest usb loader gx 3.0 (I wanted gamecube support) which somehow screwed up everything. So I reset all the settings and re-did the softmod following the guide on here to a t.

When I select homebrew channel with my hdd plugged in, I get a black screen. If I unplug the usb hdd, homebrew channel loads up normally. If I select usb loader gx with the usb plugged in, It gets stuck at "initialize usb" or counts down from 20 and says usb device not found.

So far, with my cIOS, I have installed d2x cIOS beta v9 r49, base 56 @ 249. No dice. Thought it would fix my issue. Other than that, everything else is up to date according to the softmod guide on here.

My usb hdd is a 160gb western digital WDXC1600JBRNN. Thanks in advance. Help is greatly appreciated.

    EDIT:
I'm thinking that my IOS's are screwed up and that I need to restore back to factory settings and re-soft mod. I'm debating on upgrading to 4.3 and following a guide to softmod from there. Any thoughts? I've been working on this non-stop since this morning and I'm getting absolutely no where. What a headache...

Sorry about that,You already did post a system check.Lmbo

You don't need to update or reformat it.
If it needs to be done over again, the soft mod any wii will over write everything.Without the need to delete anything.

By the way, your System Check Looks fine.

O.k., see if these cios will help you out.--->Usb Loader GX3.0

Scroll down to where it says:Note regarding NAND Emulation and d2x v8: The second controller will not sync for Wiiware and VC titles. A fix is in place in the d2x v9(beta49) cIOS. Download them from HERE, extract the file directly to the wad folder on your sd card, and install using your favorite wad manager.

Those are D2x v9 beta cios. See if those sort your problem out, there's no guarantee.(Click on the Here Button to download them.)

I updated my cios to d2x beta v9 r49 and I am still having the same problems for some reason... Here is the updated syscheck: sysCheck #phH8PQaG

I can't remember which guide I followed earlier in the year when I got my wii, but that guide worked flawlessly and my usb hdd was recognized and homebrew channel loaded up normally. Nothing works now. Loaders won't load or recognize my usb and homebrew channel doesn't load up unless the hdd is unplugged from the wii... this is nerve racking. Been working on this for over a day and I have probably re-softmodded my wii (pointless?) 4 times in the process. Getting desperate here...

Alright, So I went ahead and upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2 and re did the entire softmod. Usb loader gx hangs on "initialize usb device", CFG loader freezes upon startup, neogamma can't find the hdd and wiiloader freezes. The homebrew channel still doesn't load unless the hdd is unplugged. Here is my new 'virgin' syscheck after doing the softmod for 4.2: sysCheck #n6390RVO

I have heard of a few instances where HBC 1.1.0 broke compatibility with some drives. Download Hackmii 1.0.8.zip and extract it directly to the apps folder on your sd card. Launch the HBC and install the HBC 1.0.8. It will overwrite your current version. See if that helps.

Still the same problem after installing HBC 1.0.8 (doesn't load up unless i disconnect the hdd). However, I installed the d2x beta v9 r49 cios wads and now usb loader gx counts down from :20 instead of freezing up on "initialize usb drive". Getting somewhere at least?? Maybe the new cios broke compatibility with my hdd? I'm not sure which version to try now.. but I am almost 100% positive it has something to do with cios.

You could fall back to D2x v7,to see if that helps. If D2x v7 was working from the beginning.
