Thread: I think I have a real problem - video disappeared.

I think I have a real problem - video disappeared.

I think I have a real problem - video disappeared.
It is 4.1U system and was modded about 2 years ago.
    Was working tine.
A few of days ago I decided to update the mod and basically it went OK,
except the Neogamma and the cnf usb uploader did not work (posted previously).
So upon an advice from one of the guys i decided to repeat some of the steps starting with CHAPTER 2.

And when I was finished I discovered i had a problem - no video.

Powers comes up, ON/off working, disk player excepts disk (in and out),
    But no Video.
I checked the harness and my TV with another Wii - everything OK.
I think the problem may have occurred when I was running IOS update.
Could it be that i had some IOS screwed up and damaged my Wii.
Is there any way to reset it or anybody has any other ideas.

    Apprecciate any help.

Do you have preloader installed and can you access it?

Sent from my Motorola Electrify using WiiHacks

Yes. but there is no video coming out from the Wii.
I suspected it may have something to do with some screwed up IOS.
Does anybody know if there is a way to reset the Wii to some default config.?

May be anybody from the senior members can help me here.

Also, i'll place this post on "Softmod/Hack any Wii" .

Don't go cross posting, it will be deleted. Try what toby said and attempt to access priiloader first.

The only reason I posted it again in a different category because this problem may belong to more than one.
I looked through dozens and dozens of post without finding anything at all

And I did answer that question.
I did try to load the Priiloader (holding reset button) and doing everything I could think of (see in my previous post).

Just there is no video coming out of this Wii,period, no matter what I do.

Ok, from your response we couldn't tell if u had actually tried to launch it or not. You simply said you had it.

Is this a boot2 wii? Sounds like you may have installed the wrong system menu, or borked up its IOS...

I think that it was a boot 2.

And I think this happened when i was trying to update IOS.

Is it something that you guys call a brick.
    Anything could be done here?

Below is a copy of my original post on this subject:

Yes this would be a brick. Format your sd card and download THIS. Password is "www.wiihacks.com" , no quotation marks
Extract it directly to your sd card. Insert the card into your Wii then power it on, MMM should load. Let us know if it does.

Tried it. Did not work - blank screen.
And I could not extract directly to the SD card, just creates a folder with the same name.

So i just copied everything from that folder directly into the SD root.

    Any other ideas1?
I forgot to mension in my first post that i have a folder with the NAND back up files from before i attempted this softmod upgrade.

Sounds like bootmii isn't installed as boot2 then. I will move your posts to the bricked Wii section. Mauifrog may have some better advice. He is the resident brick expert.
