Issues with Homebrew browser/apps with USB drive

So I'm having trouble with the Homebrew browser and other apps when trying to load them from my USB thumb drives. I've tried two, Dane Elec 8GB flash drive, and SanDisk Cruzer 16GB flash drive. Both are compatible with the Wii (and both work just fine when loading backed up Wii games), and both have serious issues with trying to load Homebrew data. I can often get to the Homebrew browser from my USB thumb drives, but often freezes either when I try to download something, or even just after a few of the icons load (often freezes when it's on the 5th out of 527 or something). Also often have problems when I try to delete an app from the Homebrew channel. Are homebrew apps just generally not well suited for a USB flash drive, or is there something wrong with my programs?

Edit: Also another problem I've run into is *when* I do get a program to load successfully, once I go back to the Wii Homebrew channel, that and/or all the other programs will just...disappear from the menu. Loaded the flash drive onto my computer, looked into the apps folder, and the apps have actually been deleted! It's very odd. I also want to point out I also don't have any of these issues (or any issues at all really) when loading Homebrew with an SD(HC) card.

Your system check looks fine. Maybe it is a problem with ios 58, corrupted or something. Try and reinstall IOS58-64-6176.wad with MMM or wad manager.

Tried reinstalling it, still doesn't work right

To give a more detailed rundown of the problems...,

~It loads icons VERY slowly when loading the homebrew browser
~half the time loads very slowly (partial freeze than jumps back), or just permanently freezes.
~Some downloads won't work (often results in "download zip failed")
~Other times the homebrew browser will continue to run but the wiimote will lock up and continuously vibrate very strongly. Never had that issue anytime else using the Wii. I know it's not locked up because the icons are still (slowly) loading

And all these issues simply do *not* happen with the SD cards I use. And I tried this with *two* different USB thumb drives. (One a Dane-Elec 8GB and a SanDisk Cruzer 16GB). Both thumb drives, by the way, work fabulously when loading backed up Wii games. Perhaps the Homebrew browser (and homebrew channel) does not work well with USB (thumb) drives? I don't know if anyone else has had this issue. I've documented it here. If anyone else has come up with this issue do please tell me if you've found a solution.

Also, I forgot to add, that loading data from the USB, from a homebrew program loaded from an SD card seems to work fine. (Like for example, roms)

Haha, I've already done this. Still have the same issues. (Keep in mind, as I've said before, I have no real issues when loading backed up Wii games, these are issues specifically with Homebrew software ; specifically when I try to exclusively load homebrew software FROM a USB thumb drive)

I am having the EXACT issues. My system check looks the same. Any progress on this?
