    Minimal Softmod

I would like to soft mod my Wii. I would like some help figuring out what is necessary for what I intend to do. All I want to do is run USB Loader GX 2.3, I want to use Game Channels (shortcuts to games on my hard drive.) I have system menu version 4.3U. I will use Letterbomb to install HBC and install bootmii as IOS, then I'll install Priiloader from there I have no idea what to do. I have looked at many guides but most seem to focus on installing many apps for many features. I need to know what apps are required to achieve my goal. I do not want more apps than needed. Questions I would like answers to are: which cIOSs do I need, what would I use to install it, ect. Any help would be great thanks!

The easiest thing for you to do would be to go ahead and follow the best soft-modding guide around; it's here at WiiHacks located under:

Forum -> WiiHacks Tutorials -> RECOMMENDED FAQ's, GUIDES & TUTORIALS ONLY -> Guide: Softmod ANY Wii

I would've included a link but then this post would have had to wait for a mod to approve it before you could view it.

Anyway, this is what I did and it works great. Yes I have a some extra apps/functionality that may never get used, but it's easy enough to delete or move unwanted channels to an unused page, or better yet just configure Priiloader to auto-boot & auto-return to the USB Loader GX you plan on using anyway; mine pre-loads & returns to Configurable USB Loader and my kids (5 & 7) and wifey think it's fab.

The alternative would be for someone here to write up a custom install procedure with custom links just for you, and though I don't doubt someone might do that, it may be asking a lot.
