DKCR - Donkey Kong Country Returns [GUIDE]

DKCR - Donkey Kong Country Returns [GUIDE]

"Something shifty is going down on Donkey Konk Island...
A tribe of mysterious marauders are putting some kind of musical voodoo spell on the island wildlife,
and using them to make off with every banana in sight! Naturally, this doesn't sit too well with
Donkey Kong, who's personal banana horder has been ransacked. With pint-sized pal Diddy Kong
on his shoulders, Donkey Kong sets out to get to the bottom of this banana burglary brouhaha."

This guide is based upon you having an up to date softmod.

I'm trying to get this working but it won't work.
I transfered the .ISO file with WBFS manager 4.0 to an 500 GIG external HDD (the disk has no extra power supply cable.)
I downloaded the .wad files like you told in the tutorial and installed them trough MMM (i think there were 7 or 8 wads?)

After that i installed the cIOS trough the wad files, i restarted my Wii and launched the USB Loader GX.
In this loader i can see the game between the other games in the list.
Then i go to settings > Game Load. In this list i see Game IOS where it says "USE GLOBAL".
If i select this i type something. In the space where you can type something it shows "-1"
You can max use 3 characters (i suppose i need to fill in there a number like 245)

I don't know good what to use and how it needs to be done further.

    Can someone help me?

I tried IOS222 (Hermes v4 38 base), IOS223 (Hermes v4 37+38 base), and IOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final on USB loading and it just goes to the wiimote warning then i got a black screen. I tried backing up the game from my disc and still the same thing. I tried all 3 loader and followed the instructions above.

I've just tried this game with new v8 final, and used Cios248 With base ios55 with No problem.(CFG Loader V70)

It did not freeze at all. Don't know if it will work for you.(It couldn't hurt to try!)

I have this working perfectly with d2x cIos v8 final 250, none of the listed ones worked for me but I decided to try cIos 250 as a last ditch effort and it worked.

I think that I have the latest updates and versions for the Wii from this site, I'm using Wii Flow and I've tried running the game with every available IOS in the settings menu for the game as well as using the Auto option but it still won't run the game...I select the game from the Wii Flow menu, Play, the white bar loads then the screnn goes black and that is where it freezes. I posted my syscheck on the correct forum, but thought I should add a note here as well...

Your post had to be manually approved (since you included a link --- yes, even if internal to wiihacks). Never tried Wiiflow, I've used USB Loader GX (and my kids the creaky/dated Neo Gamma). Have you tried another loader? Are you using USB, or optical/DVD?

Have not tried another loader yet....I am using USB...I suppose those are my next two options, i was hoping to keep it simple and just have to explain to the kids the one new twist to using the Wii, but if they want to play the game i guess they're going to have to pay attention

Try USB Loader GX and post back your results. I hope the backup is from your retail disc and meant for your region?
