Hey everyone,

just picked my wii 2 days ago and found this site then, seems like there is a lot of knowledge and know-how here.

I made the mistake of updating to 4.2u before checking out what it does..i am waiting in my d2pro9 and hope it still works..from what i've read only native region games will and that's good enough for me..I had no idea there was so much involved in modding this console..(bootmii, neogamma etc) I've got a lot of reading to do its a little overwhelming lol gone are the good old days of game genie and 500 in 1 cartridges

2009 Wii Serial numbers after LU3884XXXX and LEH2676XXXX have probably got the new D3-2 chip that prevents playing backup DVD's. They can still use original discs and USB loaders.
