I have the same problem with USB loader.

Tried to get a media player working and always get a black screen. Some home-brew works others always the black screen.

For me it still crashes the wii when I try to start it in home briew built into GX USBloader.

Preloader auto starts USBloader - and do everything there. Don't want to even see the orginal wii...

The greeen screen is due to error 002 - fix depends on a loader you use. And black and white games are due to your TV not supporting either PAL or NSTU.

I had the same problem this morning. Just removed usbloadersgx as an app from my S card. Put an old version on the SD card, used the auto update function built in and fixed.

No idea what caused...

I use "RegionFrii" - it tells you the region and then lets you change it to what ever region you want.

Never had a problem using NTSC on my PAL wii.

Spotted the full screen thanks - but its the menu's / frontend that is too small. I have a 37" HDTV but most of the screen isn't even used by the PS3 for the browser or Iplayer.

Does it really matter what port your using as long as it works ?

Mine only works on the bottom port but never really cared why!

Here's my setup on Vista - no idea if it works on XP though.

My VISTA machine is set to always use IP 192.168.1.3 in the router

If you use a decent USB loader like GX then no you don't need one. Not sure about others but GX auto scrubs images.

It auto scrubs . i.e auto compresses the images down by removing the junk data...

A USB loader is just an application - either ignore it or just delete it from your SD card.

Nothing wrong with having more than 1 USB loader if you really don't need the SD card space.

Just click on the game you want to start - a CD will pop up in the middle of the screen, press "options" or "settings" forget the exact word and you'll see the 002 error fix option.
