yep that would be perfect
-R typically works best, but the +R should still work fine
I wouldn't say the wii-clip is fake so quickly.
Check the pins on the underside of the wii-clip and see if they're bent. You may have bent them installing them improperly. does the yellow strip...
the rest of the chips either REQUIRE soldering or work with only 1 drive version.
Who says it's not -R compatible? The chip works with all media, your drive may not!
The d2pro9 will be the best...
that is NOT the perfect modchip, it's the complete opposite!
You'll probably want to go with the d2pro9 v3, but there is still a chance of having to solder 1 wire, but most work completely...
Get them since you have an HDTV, it's worth it if you can take advantage of the progressive scan. The cheapo ones on ebay should be fine.
It's one of the most stable.
All wii's are moddable at this point, this even works on D2E systems.
I think you have to force the language to english for it to work on a jap wii
Either CLK has to be shorted or a wire for point J has to be soldered on any install with the v4c
remove the solder from C, D, E, and F first and try.
that blob means that CLK is shorted.
If it still doesn't work with C, D, E, and F removed then remove the solder from CLK and go from point...
the US version should work (in english) if you use gecko os to boot it
it's probably the most stable 9 wire chip out and has great support. The only negative I've found so far is the built in jtag connector, the team says you can update it with a programmer, I guess...
they have a less than 1% failure rate
soldering will always be better, but these wii-clips are great
modders just tend to bash them (for obvious reasons)
You don't exactly mod it, you just use a flash cartridge and micro SD card with roms on it.
Are points C, D, E, and F soldered on the wii-clip? they're not supposed to be if you have a D2B
If that's not the problem, then desolder CLK and solder point J from the wii-clip to point J on the...
when did you buy your system?
You void your warranty as soon as you open the console, but if you use a wii-clip or clean up your wii then nintendo won't know it was opened.
To help choose a chip, tell us when you bought your...
Yep, -R is better. The difference between the two is how data is stored on the disc, it makes -R easier to read I guess (I don't know exactly, but this is just a general idea).
The D2Ckey + wii-clip v1 will be a great (and cheap) solution.
If you want the ability to update, then spend a bit extra and get the D2Pro9 with wii-clip v4c.
You won't be disappointed with the...
what error message do you get? what's your system's firmware? If it's 3.3 it won't boot the trucha signed game, try using gecko os to boot it.
If you bought your wii before april, you can use a d2ckey + wii-clip (cheapest solution, also a great chip). You can also use a d2pro9 with a wii-clip no matter when you bought your wii.
You can use friidump.
Tried using quicklinks to mark everything as read and the drop down menu doesn't show up. Tried it with Camino and Safari and it doesn't work, I don't think it's my browser.
changing the URL to...
I'd recommend the wiizard mod or d2pro9. If you want an easy install with a wii-clip go with the d2pro9. If you're going to have someone install it for you then get the wiizard mod!
Hello! I'm a modder/reseller from Long Island. Just found this site a few minutes ago and seems like a very active forum. I'm looking forward to helping out and hopefully learning some new things,...
