Why don't you just downgrade to 3.2u and use cIOSCORPS with your backup loader of choice?

Technically you don't HAVE to downgrade to install HBC but downgrading to 3.2 is always a good idea.
If you just want to install GBC use the twilight hack for 3.4 and just install HBC.

Which makes no sense because the EU models they shipped actually didn't have the PS2 processor it actually had emulation software. So i'm sure they're just preparing for the PS2 PSN titles.
