I followed mauifrog's guide to softmod my 4.3u Wii. All steps went as planned, except for using the "Wii Backup Disc" to recover the save game exploit as an added brick protection.

The guide says...

I had the same issue with the smsplus forwarder. And as far as I can see it is pointing to the right path "/apps/smsplus/boot.dol".
