the hard disk i have is inside an enclosure i bought. i assumed needed the power supply at all times does this mean i can take the power cable out and it will still work with usb cable?

the best way is if you can is to lay your hands on an external hard disk and load usb/loader its easy to do plus if you dont have an external hard disk you can use internal if you have one...

i have accidently updated to 4.0 also but ran the bannerbomb hack and i can also confirm its awesome.
