Problem solved! All I had to do was knock the Wii console from left then to the right. Violently. It works :-)

Randomly the remotes stopped working. I tried taking battery out of remotes, pressing reset button on Wii, and unplugging the Wii for several hours in order to try to fix the remotes. They won't turn...
