I have black Wii with serial number LEH5044XXXX.
According to Wii Drive Chip Database (look it over) this is D3 (or D3-2) drive and what I have learned
from this forum (and lots of other places)...

Similar problem here but seems really disk/writer realated as TDK DVD+R works 4 out of 10, TDK DVD-R works 5 out of 10 and EMTEC DVD-R 8 out of 10. Also I have noticed that DVD'S written on my laptop...
