Not sure if I can start BootMii from the HBC.

Thx!

Thx all, but it seems I figured out what went wrong.
On my NAS I found the original bootmii files, created when I followed the "mod any wii" guide.
After putting these files inside the bootmii...
Hmmm, today I did the SM 4.3 -> SM 4.1 downgrade and installed priiloader again.
Do you think this is somehow related?
If I run sysCheck it seems to be fine.
I also see two short blue flashes...
Yep, I did create a bootmii folder on the root of the SD.
With: armboot.bin, bootmii.ini, ppcboot.elf
Somehow I could not download these files from the bootmii.org site.
(Found it using the...
After following the Softmod ANY wii guide using LetterBomb all is working fine.
However when I'm on the HBC and choose to start BootMii the screen goes blank and the blue LED (tray) starts...
OK, so use WiiMod to install the three SM 4.1 wad files?
After that install priiloader again and be done?
I don't loose my homebrew channel this way?
Good to know, thx! :)
Thanks!
That does shed some new light on the subject for me. :D
If I want to go to SM 4.1 afterwards, what is the best method?
Priiloader is now in place with the suggested settings, will this...
Which is much appreciated.
Correct, I used LetterBomb to get started.
From your post I assume Bannerbomb is somehow less tricky.
With SM 4.3, regionfree is no problem because the USB loader...
I asked myself the same question when at that point.
On wiihacks you also read downgrading the SM is a risk as well.
More and more you read it's NOT recommended.
Depending who you ask, some say...
Can you post a sysCheck with your current config?
lol!
For sure the portal eats batteries. :046:
I'm using 2000mAh NiMH's to feed it.
Happy new year for your family as well. :)
It could also be your portal or USB dongle is broken.
Can you try it on a different Wii?
FYI, here is my sysCheck, Skylanders are happy with it. :)
sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and R2-D2199...
I do see this as well, but to a lesser extent.
Before I did my softmod this didn't happen.
I'm using cfg loader v70r49.
I'll try dniMretsaM suggestion to see if it helps.
I'm sorry, no problems here.
HDD in lower USB port and so USB portal dongle in upper USB port.
Works without a glitch.
Ah, that is lame. :(
Good reason to stick with FIFA 12.
No problems when running FIFA 12 from HDD?
Is nobody playing this game or does it run smooth for all of you?
Thx gents, I guess it's better to stick with v1.1.0 for now.
Don't want to break anything.
Currently I'm using v1.1.0 (IOS58 v24.32) of The Homebrew Channel.
To my understanding there is a new version available (v1.1.2)
I read this new version should pop-up for install, when I'm using...
I'm using the latest CFG loader and having some problems with FIFA13.
I've re-read the original disk twice but this game freezes now and then.
I need to power cycle the Wii to get it back running....
Great, never thought of that.
I'll look into that with my favorite loader. (CFG)
OK, interesting.
I tried to run a "J" backup on my "E" Wii from USB but all I got was a black screen and a frozen Wii.
(Needed to unplug power.)
Wait, I did a region patch! Should not have done...
To my understanding you can also play out-of-region games from USB, not only from the disc channel with SM 4.1.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
What you could do is run sysCheck.
There are a lot of knowledgeable people who can tell if you are missing something.
Below my results from a recent softmod.
sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and...
Thx, that is a pro, to make it region free.
However ModMii tells me SM 4.3 is recommended.
There must be a reason for that.
Out of interest and better understanding I would like to know why.
