I have Tiger Woods with the motion plus with a 4.0 console. Did not ask me to update. Control seems to work good. Through the tutorial in the game it shows you how you can draw or fade by twisting your wrists on the downward swing. You add spin by pressing the control pad in the direction you want it and shaking the wiimote. The motionplus comes with an extended glove to slide over your wiimote which is nice. It also has a locking switch to lock it in place, a jack for the nunchuck which has a plastic cap cover. adds a little weight to the wiimote but it feels good in the hand. Driving the ball is no problem. The force in which you strike it is determined by your backswing. Only difficulty I had with it is the putting, which I found to be extremely sensitive. But after a few failed attempts the coach will pop up and ask you if you want to revert to the classic control for putting. You can do either, or with both driving and putting if you prefer. I like it overall. By no means will it make you better at your real game.....but it adds a new dynamic and I think it's fun to play this way. Can't wait to try Virtua Tennis with this...
I gotta say Virtua Tennis was sort of a disappointment in comparison to Tiger Woods 2010. I found it a bit easier to play without the motion control, but from what I understand it takes some getting used to. I can't wait for some lightsaber motionplus game to come out... or something similar. that'd totall kick ass.
I play the motionplus with tiger woods 10 and yes you can tell the difference. First off plug the sensor in and when you are going to tee off, pull the wiimote back just a tad and youll see the golfers club pull back alittle. Then go and remove the sensor and try it again. Nothing will happen on screen. Just shows that this sensor works.
