Chips in Tokyo

Hey y'all,
I've been on a quest for some time in search of a shop that sells Wii chips in the Tokyo area.
I've roamed Akihabara twice only to find one shop selling a Wasabi modded Wii for 40,000 yen, about US$400.
Any help out there?
Thanks a lot.

Well given that Japan has Nintendo's HQ and they actually act to stomp illegal devices like the R4 for the DS, I wouldn't be surprised if you can't find any at all.

Why don't you just try buying the chip from the net and getting it shipped? Its probably a lot cheaper too.

But I have seen plenty of R4 signs around Akihabara. They seem very easy to come by around here.
Anyway, I found a guy in Japan who sold me a Wii Key 2.
I just have to figure everything out now.

Yeah I knew that, alot of shops in Akihabara have those shifty Neon lights that read "R4" inqure within, followed by a shop attendant asking you not tell anyone about this, pretty funny actually (I actually bought mine there).

Its good that you found a re-seller, not suprising that you'd eventually find one though even if there has been some action to stop illegal devices.
