Perfectly fine. (maybe should be added to the DM/DML/FAT32 guides, if it isn't already in there).
There just seems to be a lot of confusion about the "proper" way to use easus. I've seen "It won't let me do 32k" a lot lately. I'm just saying it's possible, but needs to be done the right way.
If you have a clean SD card, then go to Chapter 3 of Softmod Any Wii guide and install the App Pack.
You will get three loaders (may not be completely the latest version, but all will work with DM 2.9 -- the loaders were the latest version at the time the latest App Pack was created -- then GX and WiiFlow updated less than a week later).
Then you won't have to worry about the .dol or .elf files from the GX-only download you just did.

Where Dreams Become to Real...So you can found me There...
Hi everyone I followed this guide using Dios Mios 2.6 lite for SD Card and it worked like a charm. However I've noticed 2.9 is out now and I wish to upgrade. not that I even have a remote idea as to what the change log is between 2.6 and 2.9. is it even worth it? Anyways what I mainly want to know is how to upgrade. Is it a simple copy and paste affair?
While I can't instruct you on the is it a simple cut and paste, the homepage linked in the guide is pretty revealing on your "what's changed" portion of the question:
Changed patch code to prevent false hits (DVDLowReadDiskID)
Added C_MTXLightPerspective patching (Fixes heat effects when using wide screen hack in Zelda:WW)
Fixed a bug in GCLoader that broke the progressive patch
Moved progressive patch back 16 bytes, this fixes PADHOOK and progressive patching not working at the same time
Fixed a bug that caused a black screen when using PADHook and Progressive mode patching at the same time
Reduced HDD read time out to 25 seconds
Added two disc supports (Extracted format is unsupported)
Thank you for your time Nightstah
