DML has changed a lot in year it's been around, and the loaders have to have kept up on those updates otherwise could not be used. It sounds like whatever version of neogamma you have, latest version or not, does not know how to deal with the current version of DML.

I'd suggest looking into "DM Booter" and "Configurable Mod". The latest version of either of those will run the latest version of DML. There are others too, but these are the only two that I've used. "DM Booter" tends to be updated faster when an update to DML requires a new update to the loader, then CFG is close to follow.
    Okay i will try this

It said the same thing and the Dios Mios screen was not in color. for Dm Booter

So I followed your guide, which was very helpful, but when I got to the part about installing the wad using wad manager, it gave me a couple options that you didn't mention. I, being a total newb, went ahead and chose whatever option it first listed. For which IOS version to use, I chose IOS249, and for the NAND emulator device, I chose disable, though in retrospect, maybe I should have picked sd/sdhc. I then loaded the wad in the wad folder and when that was done, went to neogamma. I went to the option to load GC Games via DM and it listed Custom Robo, which I put on there. I accepted and it looked like it started to load a little, and then it restarted the Wii, right back to the health safety screen. Also, I put Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door on there as well, but it didn't show up.

My Wii is a 4.3u and I used the Softmod Any Wii guide by mauifrog, which I followed to the letter and got a couple Wii games running. Thanks in advance!

what version of neogamma do you have? The latest I've been able to find is pretty old compared to how new DM / DML is. The two loaders that I've used that tends to stay current is "DM Booter" and "Configurable USB Loader". The latest versions of either of those should use the lastest version of DM(L) just fine.

I'm using whatever version came with mauifrog's guide. I also tried Configurable USB Loader and Wiiflow and they started Dios Mios with the GC logo, but then an error popped up that said "fatal error apploader size is zero!" I then have to turn the Wii off.

OK, then I'm sure you're trying to use a version of neogamma that doesn't work with the latest DML.

What version DML did you install? The latest is 2.3. If you want to read games from SD, use DML. If you want to read games from USB, use DM. Both are downloadable from the same page: Downloads - diosmios - DIOS MIOS (Lite) - Play your Nintendo GameCube disc backups on Wii from an USB device or SD card - Google Project Hosting

As for Configurable. Sounds like you may have also used an old version. Or at least one that doesn't match up with the version of DML. What version did you try? The latest can be downloaded here: Downloads - cfg-loader-mod - Configurable USB Loader MOD - Google Project Hosting

The versions of WiiFlow and Configurable USB Loader that come with the guide are out of date and need to be upgraded from within the app. DML 2.3 should work after that.

Okay, so I tried updating Wiiflow, but it became REALLY slow to boot and it still didn't work, so I just got Dios Mios Booter instead. It's not as pretty as Wiiflow (by a long shot), but hey "function over form." Thanks for being so helpful guys!

Hello! I followed this guide a while ago and managed to install Dios Mios Lite perfectly. I played Sonic Adventure 2 battle, beat it and then I stopped using it. I got kind of busy so I stopped playing wii for a while but know my brother found a old game we have for gamecube, which is Starfox Adventure. I loved that game so I wanted to play it. So I grabbed the disc and placed it inside my wii. I went into the normal game launch app and pressed the start button. In my screen what appeared was the starting screen that used to appear when I loaded SA2B. I let it stay for a while just to see if it was just a glitch from the hack or something but no, it didn't move on from it. At first I thought It was cause of the hack so I turned off my wii removed my SD card and HDD and tried again but the same thing happened. I really want to be able to play my old gamecube games so I would like to ask you if anyone else had this problem and how to fix it. Sorry if this question has been asked before.

Try installing DML 2.3 and see if it works then.
