postloader will do it aswell and i think more quickly than the usb loaders

is a class 10 sdhc card the only type that will give "disc like" speeds? my class 6 8gb runs pretty slow on loading screens and im guessing its the card not any settings or missing files. i have a class 8 but i used it in a camera so im not quite ready to give it up. I could buy a class 10 32gb, but if its not quite worth it, then i wont. The games are stil playable, but theres a good minute or 2 between loading screens.

    thanks

Also does compressing the games affect speed, or just size?

    Thanks

I think it varies mate, im using a class 4 card and it works perfectly for game play but cutscenes are laggy. At this moment in time the results of compression vary so its hard to say, it really is a work in progress

to get it this far is an amazing feat in ingenuity. The fact that it works at all, is enough to get my applause. Keep up the good work!

    Uninstalling DML?

Hi guys, I am new, so I hope I'm not missing some of the rules here. I recently installed Dios Mios Lite and was impressed with the work done so far. I looked into it because my Wii's disc drive has started having read errors recently. I like having it as an option, but I'd rather rely on my disc drive for backups as long as I can for compatibility's sake. I know DML essentially kills the ability to play backup discs, but I thought I read when first installing it that this function was easily restored. I've been trying for the past couple of days to get this function back through all sorts of IOS fudging, but I'm lost. I have a 4.3U OS, so I thought restoring the Trucha Bug might do the trick, but that didn't pan out. I even downgraded my OS to 4.1U in case that was an issue. Thanks for the tutorials here by the way. They've helped a lot.

If there's any confusion about my Wii's ability to play backup discs, it can. I've played backups before. I just want to restore that functionality if possible.

    wad???

Alrite i have been looking for hours for a wad file for usb loader gx with the dml support.
I want to install it as a channel so i wont have to have usb loader gx in my sd card .
When i try to install the 2.3 wad from their website it doesn't have the option to cancel the usb check (press b to cancel).
I am trying to load my gc games from my sd card :/.
    any help?

Hm, that didn't do the trick. I installed the Wad with Wad Manager 1.7. I am getting an interesting error message though. I'm using Neogamma, and when it fails to read the disc, it seems to be dating the disc drive at 12/18/2008 despite the fact that I purchased my Wii a few months after launch (early 2007). I am using a backup copy that I have used successfully in the past, and it is burned to a DVD-R.

The version of GX with dml support is still in beta. With it not being an official release, they haven't created a .wad for the channel itself. Why would you not want to leave it on your card? It takes up valuable space on your Wii as a channel and isn't easily updated....

From reading your prior posts it sounds like you went cowboying with all kinds of stuff on your Wii. Without seeing a syscheck I don't really know 100%, but I bet your cIOS are all sorts of whackadoo. How about using the ANY Wii guide to do a proper update to your mod? It gives you the correct cMIOS, updates all your cIOS to the latest known compatible revisions, and gives you an updated version of neogamma.

I tried the Any Wii guide after work today, and that failed to set things straight as well. I went through all of it step by step just to be methodical and ensure my best chance of success.
