This is all pretty confusing to me.

Should i just start the update guide all over again and this time not format at the start of Chapter 3?
or maybe just do that mothballed channels part before chapter 3 instead of after it?
MultiModManager is the files on your chapter 2 downloads in CIOS-Pack.zip package.. where it is in (SD:/App/MMM/)

Chapter 3 (App Pack.zip) is just some introductory apps that you can do when you have softmod wii like playing your back-ups via hard drive (CFG USBLoader) Watching video/audio formats file (wiimc) browsing cool tools, apps, emulators, etc (homebrew_browser) in short it's there to get you started exploring your new soft modded Wii...

thanks, though i kinda figured what the app pack is(note that i was trying to to update my softmod, i had it all completed once before)
It just seems weird to me that maui is telling me to do chapter 2 and 3 before doing that mothballs part, since i think you delete MMM in chapter 3 while you need it for the mothballs part.

Anyway, I just added that MMM folder back into apps, but it still only loads into bootmii(that part you control with the reset and power buttons)

I really think i should just start all over and do the mothballs stuff before chapter 3(not like i even know what it does, but i just want it done)

Edit: uninstalling mothballed stuff after chapter 2 but before chapter 3 worked, maybe this can be changed in the guide

Noob here. I had a quick problem with CFG USB Loader. When I try to start the program from the wii home menu, it does work. It immediately goes back to the home screen upon opening it. Is there a way to fix this, or did I just mess up somehow and I'm just screwed. Everything else seems to work fine. Homebrew channel and everything else seems to work fine. My wii is updated to 4.3u, and I did the smash stack. It seemed to work at first, so I'm not sure what's wrong.

I'm just starting to figure this stuff out myself, but i think that means you have the forwarder installed as a channel (so it's like a hyperlink) but the program its linking to cannot be found.
Have you correctly unzipped the App-Pack to your SD card(and did you stick the card in your wii? :P)

You can load any region changer from priiloader. hold reset and power on the wii, then load any region changer from priiloader.

    awesome!

Excellent guide many many thanks! just hacked a 4.3e & it works a treat.

Just one small comment regarding the step where you do things refering to SM 4.1 though.
I was a little confused & worried thinking the step was for earlier versions as I was under the impression there was no going back from 4.3. There didn't seem to be any other quesions raised so I just went ahead and did it but for other ppl it be useful to just clarify to do the 4.1 SM step irrespective of current SM including 4.3.
