I know it says you don't need the actual game anymore but after you get homebrew installed is it okay to erase the saved game exploit?

No you should be good to remove it now you have HB installed and have downgraded to 4.1 which will allow you to use banner bomb if needs be.

Thanks. Tips. And need some help for making up

Thanks a lot for Mauifrog's instruction. Very detail and easy to follow. I just finished the whole processing. Generally speaking, it's good. I'll only talk about the non-general part.

As background, the Wii I am working on is one 4.3J and would like to update it to 4.1U with HBC, etc. And I am using Return Of Jodi.

Issue #1: The package downloaded as "hackmii-0.8_return-jodi.zip" doesn't work well on me. Once loading the saved file, and pressing "A" when see Jodi, it halts without loading HackMii installer.

Solution: I downloaded again from "http://static.hackmii.com/return-jodi.zip". The data.bin in RLGJ(JPN) is more current, 6 days late, than that downloaded here. Other files are the same. And now it works good. In case this is not an alone problem, maybe it's better to update this package in this post.

Issue #2: After all done. The weather channel icon show both English and Japanese. When entering, it says "The channel can't be used" and there is no way to back to system menu.

Guess: Before converting, I set up the Internet connection and used Weather channel for connection test. I even selected Tokyo as location. Not sure whether it was treated as a profile or something.

    No solution.

Issue #3: After all done. Go to shop channel, it detected the region conversion, once click "skip" to enter the shop, it comes "Error 205958" and fails.

Guess: the post did mention about delete shop account. Since I never used shop before and don't read Japanese. I might fail to do so.

Attempts: Use AnyRegionChanger and change the Shop Country Region to "1"(JPN). Go back to Shop channel and enter setting to try to remove shop account. After entering the serial no, it gives "Error 209543".

Proposed solution: Use AnyRegionChanger and change SM to JPN again. The try to remove shop account. Then change it back. However, not sure whether it works or not?

Please kindly help with my issue #2 and #3. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Update:
Issue #3 was gone by changing Wireless Channel to 11 and entering lowercase serial#, while "Shop Country Code" still as 1. The shop account was deleted. The change the Shop Country Code back to 49 and I get a working shop channel. However, I didn't see how this two changes would work, maybe just luck.

Issue #2 is still there. Moreover, it's found the New Channel also have exactly the same problem "The channel can't be used".

    Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks!

The latest system menu is 4.3. No telling what SM any new wii will have on it because you don't know how long it has been on the shelf. All wiis are hackable as of now.

Try to delete the weather channel with Any Title Deleter, then reinstall it.
