    Thanks again for the reply.
regarding Chapter 1 part 1, I do plan to start from chapter 1 part 1 but am not sure which option to follow, should I follow the
"Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" or if I follow the 4.0-4.2- Bannerbomb v2, if possible I would rather start from scratch and follow the bannerbomb v2 option, in chapter 1 part 1 but since hbc is already installed do I have to choose the option "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed"

    Thanks

Just go from "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" This will install ios 58 then re install the latest HB to get it running from ios 58.

The thing is both options do the same thing....

    homebrew controller probs

Hi, trying to softmod my wii 4.3e using the guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html and am now on part 3, and all has gone well so far. When I load up the homebrew channel and select bootmii the remotes disconnect so there is no way to move on. All i can see is 4 icons, on the left wii, then the homebrew channel, then an sd card, and then some gears. Any idea how to correct this? Btw the remotes at the original ones that came with the wii

    thanks for the help

It is normal for the controllers to disconnect when you start bootmii. You can navigate using the On, Reset and Eject button. On = forward, Reset = Enter, Eject = Back.
Awesome sig picture does not work

You need a GC controller. You can also move using the Power and Reset button on the wii

    EDIT: Bliepo beatme to it

what is a likely reason that a wii stops working given that I have followed maui's installation correctly?

edit: by "stops working", i mean, everything is fine except when I try to load the game, it gives me a black screen.

hey guys if i have a few bad blocks while making a NAND backup, should I be worried. I think Im about 1/2 way through and I already have 3 bad blocks
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    EDIT.....
All good guys, i just selected the prepare a sd card in hackmii, i thinks its the right selection... **fingures crossed**

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hi I just completed installing Install Bootmii as Boot2 in chapter 1 part 2, now it says prepare the sd card, should I select the prepare a sd card while Im still in hackmii, the reason I asked is because in another post someone said you only prepare the sd card if bootmii fails to install, and you have to use the (do this) guide. me personally I think it means to select prepare a sd card in hackmii (to have it ready for NAND nackup) but I thought I would ask first so I dont ruin the wii.

    Thanks heaps.

If your done installing bootmii just run the homebrew channel then press home then select bootmii..
Bootmii folder is already in your SD card,, so you could run the bootmii and make your NAND, just remember the wii controller will not work that's why you need at least a GameCube Controller or if you don't have any GameCube Controller just go to your console and Press (POWER, POWER, POWER, RESET, RESET) Power = Right (just like in the controller pressing the right button) and Reset = Select (just like pressing A in the controller)
