Hi I'm having huge difficulties running all of the recommended USB loaders. I have successfully installed the Trucha bug, cios 249 and 222 are installed correctly according to syscheck and my HDD is formattd WBFS with proper ISO's loaded. Occasionally USB Loader GX and Wiiflow will load but once I choose to play the available games the system reboots to system menu. For the most part however both freeze on the loading screens. I have attached the syscheck report incase someone is able to help me solve my problem. Thanks for your consideration.

My Wii is running 4.2 and the first chapter of your guide seems to go well. I verified the sums for ModPack-AnyWii.md5 and they all verified.
Then I skipped verify sums for UpdatePack.md5 since I am running 4.2
When I go to launch Bootmii from HBC with the SD card inserted, I get a black screen and the disc tray light blinks blue.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

First check if your card is listed here, and if so, if it has any reported problems.
Next, try formatting your SD card, running HackMii, and choosing "Prepare SD card" from the Bootmii section and/or reinstall Bootmii as IOS.
Thanks for the suggestions, JoostinOnline. Unfortunately my SD Card was on the list as a fully working card with bootmii. Now it appears my that my Wii tells me that "the device inserted in the SD card slot can not be used". So I think that is my problem, except I don't know how it got that way. Is there a certain way the SD card should be formatted for the Wii. I formatted the SD card to the standard for Windows, FAT. I am so confused on why this won't work. Should I just go out and get another SD card, but I don't want this to happen again.

If the card is giving you trouble, try to format it using the format tool provided in the guide. The card needs to work in the HBC. If the card is working in the HBC, but you can't load MMM via bootmii cboot2 load, try the alternative method to Chapter 2 Part 1, which is described at the end of part 1.

Question before performing "re-softmodding" my Koren Wii region-changed console

Hi. Thanks for the guide and also Brick prevention. I just bought a Korean Wii region changed to US, 4.0 version, has homebrew and USBloader GX. The shop backuped my games into an external HDD.

Question is, before I went and brick my wii, is whether your guide at http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html safe for my case?

Should I perform all steps to install again newer Homebrew, Bootmii, then do a NAND backup (I do not have this), then update to 4.1 with region change SM4.1 method, and install priloader.

Do I need to reinstall USBloader GX after all this? I ask because I tried updating the USBloader GX from the app itself and update failed- Wii hang and I had to switch off power.

Or do I play it safe and just keep using it. I wanted to get the Monster Hunt Tri, and heard it needed 4.2 or something. Didn't want to buy a game I couldnot play.

    Thanks for your time. Cheers!!

    Ca howdy

Howdy, doing a wii using your method for the first time - getitng some odd results at the end, wondered if you had any thoughts on where the problem was - followed your guide trough, everything went good it seemed, only difference is I put the app pack on the fat32 partition of the drive so was no SD card, WBFSed the second partition - loaded on a game(tried two seperately) - but when going into the USB boot loader I get an infinite number of blank covers saying 8N or 8M - with no real game.

    Any thoughts?

Reading the above, what do you think? The biggest brick risk is if you ignore and update to 4.2 or 4.3 --- you'll get a permanent (or likely permanent) Error #003 brick as described here (Korean Wiis cross-flashed via Any Region Changer to US version).

No game requires a specific System Menu to run; either it'll require a specific IOS or a cIOS installed in order for games to run. We do have a guide on that game, you know...

Hmmm, strange. Maybe you should stop by the intro sectionjust to say a quick hello and the drop a replay in the USB guide that you followed to get some help .

    Hombrew for 4.3

    Hi,
I saw the information from Official Homebrew web site, he said that homebrew can work with 4.3. I didn't see any thing talking about game disk like topic mention there.

So, which's way is better: Buying new Lego Indy/SMBB, or buying from Homebrew channel?

You do realize Home Brew Channel is one thing, fully softmodding is another. You should stop in and make a quick "hello" post in the Introductions section; this is something we ask first-time posters. You'd get a personal greeting from a wiihacks staff member and excellent starter links. Beyond that, if you wish to softmod a 4.3 Wii you'd need original games mentioned in this tutorial. Welcome to the site.
