I softmoded my Wii with this instruction a couple of months ago and now I'm running hacked SystemMenu 4.1 I want to buy Wiikey Fusion, but I've heard that it has problems with Wiigator. Is it safe to install official mios v10 downloaded with NUSD? Do I have to use MMM or can I use WAD Manager?

Plain and simple you cant play gamecube backups from hdd yet they have to be played from disc.

    wii key fusion headache

    Hey all,

First I just want to thank Mauifrog for the fantastic guide! (yes I also clicked the thanks button!)

Second I just wanted to inform everyone that USB loading and Wiikey Fusion (solderless chip) are brutally incompatible... (may not be a bad idea to indicate this somewhere as a note in the guide!)

I have spent the last week pulling my hair out over this but have finally got it working! Long story short is that I have four kids so I bought the Wiikey Fusion for my wii so that I could run backups of my disks so that my kids wouldn't wreck the originals. I had later become interested in the HBC so I installed that to run emulators. Meanwhile I am going through dvds like crazy thanks to the little monkeys scratching them all up constantly.

I started reading and realized that you could run games through usb off of a hard drive which I thought was ingenious! No more scratched cds and skipping games! So I read like crazy and found this guide and followed it to the "T". After everything was finished I could not get the games to load I just kept getting black screens that would end up with "an error has occured. Please eject the cd... etc." or total lockups at the blackscreen. I tried EVERYTHING! All kinds of different settings, I re-did the soft mod three times, tried three different loaders, updated the loaders etc. I even went back and followed the updates to the CIOS pack but just couldn't get it to work.

On the off chance that it was having issues with my wiikey fusion (I looked but could not find anything indicating that it does for sure), I pulled my wii apart and removed the chip and sure enough it works like a charm!!!!

After all my troubles and frustration, I had to register just to let you guys know of this issue and to thank you again for such a great guide!

    Cheers!

I soft modded my wii and went to multi mod manager to install all the wads which works. Then the guide said press B two times and go back to the main menu to install Priiloader. This did not work and when I rebooted my wii, the MMM boots up. I removed the SD card and when I rebooted it again, the wii channels came back. Have I installed prilloader? I have burned some iso game which work fine by using neogammar. Do I need to do anything else?

    Thanks
