I'm still waiting on the game I need to do the softmod, probably going to get it today. I was just wondering, what's the probability that a USB external hard drive will be compatible with the Wii? Is it like 95% likely that the drive will be okay? Because I can get a good deal on a drive, but it's not listed as compatible, and it's only a good deal so long as the drive actually works with the Wii.

I'd wager that most drives work(though some adapters may introduce unexpected behavior). It's generally about file system format

Well, based on the recommendations of this guide I was going to go FAT32 drive and use Wii Backup Manager to scrub and transfer games to the hard drive. It's kind of annoying to wait now, I have all the files I need downloaded and ready to go. I also have a USB adapter for a MicroSDHC (8gb) which I am going to try and get a couple of games on to test, failing that, I might be able to dig up my old 120GB Samsung drive (really unreliable though).

I just wanted to ask that if my firemware is 4.3[E], so compatible with PAL - I would definately get the Super Smash Bros Brawl E version to allow me to softmod my Wii and is the exploit compatible with the PAL SSBB?
Im asking because various forums say that you need the U version which you play on the PAL Wii which slightly confused me as it would not work :s? or would it.

Okay, I've read through the guide and some of the questions, and have also searched the thread, but at no point can I find clarification on whether the Lego Star Wars game is Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga or Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars.
Can someone please let me know (as I have Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars and would prefer not to have to go buy another game). I don't want to chance bricking my wii (I did that before last year by not finding some important information out).
Hoping for a reply from someone who ACTUALLY modded their wii using the Lego Star Wars game.
FYI I have a 4.3 red wii.
Thanks so much in advance.
