I cant get passed Step 1 Part 1 and feeling kinda dumb right now.

The wii just doesn't see the boot.dol it doesn't see anything just shows me the empty channels.
Its a brand new SanDisk 2GB SD card. I formated it using the program in this guide. Tried all the alternatives B-E.

What i did was extract the folder to the SD card using 7zip.
Stuck it into the wii went to wii settings- data managment- channels- SD seen thats its empty.
Downloaded alternative B and extracted it onto the SD card overwriting the existing files and repeated the same with alternative C-E.

    Where I'm I screwing up?
    Whats going on?

    My wii is 3.3U
Downloading the files from "3.0-4.1 Bannerbomb v1"

format your SD card to fat32. i tried a sandisk out of the box that was formatted to FAT. formatted it to fat32 and it works great.

FAT might be compatible, but it was definitely giving me a problem the last time i tried to use it.

theres a good chance that card is formatted to FAT and not FAT32. format it to fat32 and see if that works. click the thanks button if it did

There is no such thing as just FAT. Format wise it can be FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, or exFAT

    actually, youre wrong.

    FAT File System

File Allocation Table - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

a bit off topic i know, but SD cards do show up as just 'FAT' when you attempt to format them. FAT is also an option (as is fat32 and exFAT) when formatting (at least with my version of vista64 it is).

bonus information - FAT12/16 is commonly referred to as FAT.
bonus information x 2 - i hold a ba in cs, various computer certs and am a network admin in a hospital. i like to think my education was worth it and i know what im talking about. no offense is ment by this, merely clarifying what i typed

its possible you have a bad SD card. does it identify and function as intended on your pc? can you write data to the card on your pc?
