what location on this guide does it give info 4.3u smassh stack for what parts of HackMii Installer do i put on sd card please

i want to know on your guide it says these steps as i hear your guide is best and i am having little trouble thanks see below info please

    Smash Stack - WiiBrew

Note: An SDHC card will not work with Super Smash Brothers Brawl. You must have an SD card that is 2GB or less.
Go to the stage builder, move any existing custom stages on Brawl to your SD card, and exit the stage builder. Smash Stack will not work if the console has any custom stages on it, even the three samples that come with a new file or the stages from the Smash Service. You will need to wait at least 24 hours for the stage from the Smash Service to be automatically deleted before trying to run this exploit. DO NOT go on Wi-Fi once the Smash Service stage is deleted.
Connect the SD card to your computer and rename the "private" folder to "privateold" in the root of the SD card.
Copy the "private" folder from the Smash Stack download to the root of the SD card.
Grab a *.elf file (HackMii Installer's boot.elf works) and put that in the root of the SD card.
Insert the SD card into the Wii.
Go back to the stage builder and the .elf file will load.

Whoops - just realized I posted this in the wrong thread earlier (too many tabs open). Can anyone help?

BootMii failed...Love the guide! However, we hit a snag right at the beginning.

On a freshly updated 4.3u console (never modded), we ran the guide to the letter using SSBB. BootMii was installed as an IOS, as the "boot2" option didn't exist. However, when it came time to create the nand backup...nothing happens.

Whenever I try to launch BootMii, the controller loses connection, the console shuts off (power light stays on, but TV says "no signal"), and I have to hold the power button down until it goes red. I can't figure out where to go from here, since it seems like just about everything requires BootMii to run.

On the main page that you install HBC/BootMii from, under "the tests are in!" and BootMii it says "The installed boot1 version prevents a boot2 install (-2)". It said that the first time the program ran (first time the console's ever been modded), and said it again when we ran the hack for a second time to see if we could uninstall/reinstall BootMii (we did - it didn't fix the problem). The error occurs both when I press "home" on the remote and Launch BootMii, as well as when I try to open the MMM on the main HBC page.

I'm really at a loss here...can anyone please help?

edit: on the bootmii folder on the SD card, there are three files that were created during the install: armboot (BIN file), bootmii (config file), and ppcboot.elf. Should there be more/less? Any way to verify them?

Your first issue is not an issue, but, intended behavior, the remote shuts down because bootmii doesn't support the wii controller, only the buttons on the wii itself, or a gamecube controller.. as for the second part, my guess is you have the wii connected to an HDTV, and it is using a format that bootmii doesn't support, if you can force the TV to use a lower resolution (non HD) maybe that part will be fixed, if not, try using a different TV (SD or even older) to get through the process, and then connect it back to your HDTV when done modding.

    new titles nog working

    hey Guys,

I softmodded my Wii about a year ago with another guide (can't recall which one :s). Older games work fine, but newer games don't work anymore (can't read the disc ). So I was thinking about upgrading the softmod. Can I just redo the entire guide as listed here (because I already have Priiloader, HBC,....) or will I brick the Wii when installing other WAD's?

will updating the softmod help in being able to play the newer games (like TC Hawx,...)

    thanx!

    cheerz,

    Tom

So I just follow that tab under Chapter 1, Part 1

    updating with HBC installed

Do I have to do chapter 2 and 3 too then? or not? (for example, I have no NAND backup, as I have no 1-2 gb SD but only a 256 mb so the nand backup didn't fit I think)
