You know, I performed the Mod for my brother. He has very little skills dealing with computers and what not. But HE showed me how to backup his original games with CFG Usb loader. I'm afraid I don't currently own a wii. But I know this application can backup your games to your external drive using the wii

Hello again, kind of a weird issue with a back up of metroid trilogy. Every time I try ti load the game from CFG Loader it brings me to the main menu but when I pick any of the games it boots me back to the home screen. Is there a way to fix this?

If your softmod is otherwise successful, then this question is offtopic for this thread. The Metroid Trilogy games are a bit old but I do recall they needed to have the 002 fix on and I also recall used alt.dol files. Ahhh, here take a look at ShadowSonic's post HERE. Good luck.

I installed everything according to the guide and managed to upgrade my 3.2u to 4.1u. However, when i insert my backup disc, and clicke "Backup Disc" channel and load the installed Neogamma Neogamma R8, IOS249 ( REV17), it gave me this error :dvd read error (1328)

I am 100% confirmed my disc is OK as i can load the disc without any issue from the DISC Channel and play the game. FYI, those backup disc i burned them in 2009 and game version is 2008 (animal crossing). Also, before i upgraded/softmod it with this guide, i can load those disc without issue using the old neogamma version.

    please help ..thanks !!

Have you tried burning a fresh copy. Data on a dvd r can deteriorate.

    will try that out

the weird part is : i can load that backup disc without any issue at all from the Wii disc channel..if it is already corrupted, it should not be able be read by any disc loader ..

Sound like you have a nasty case of cios corps going on then if you are able to play backups through the disc channel or you have a mod chip installed as well.

    Cioscorps is dirty.....

Are you using any of the games or just the exploit files? You need the appropriate games too.
