Maui---Thanks for clearing that up about the firmware. I kinda figured that but I wanted to make sure. The guide was easy. Thanks again.

I think that my wii is capable of boot2 but because it was the first time i had modded anything i am sure i selected it to iso well thats what was showing at the time i noticed that when i put my one sd card in with the bootmii file on it and boot up my wii it has a little 2 in the bottom left corner and the nand backup and settings etc? When removed it boots to system menu what i am trying to say is there a way i can install just the boot 2 part of the guide without going through the whole process again and see if i can change it from iso to boot2 do you have to push across where it says bootmii as iso to change it to boot2? Instructions for trying that part would be great i dont want to mess it up as i am proud of where i have got to at the minute but i do know boot2 is the way to go i know i did not change it from iso to boot2 do you have to push across for that option or would it appear next to the iso option sorry if this dont make much sense just want to see if it is boot2 capable because its a old machine with 2006 date on serial number sticker thanks in advance

You need to run hackmii installer again. You can install bootmii as a ios and boot2. It will let you know in hackmii installer if it is capable of installing it as boot2.

Wow, that was so very confusing. Next time try periods. If I understand your extremely long sentence (and I'm not very confident that I do), you want to uninstall bootmii as IOS and install it as boot2. You don't have to choose. Just run the installer again and install both versions.

If MMM loads at boot, you installed bootmii boot2

    Right for the record...

I just got a SMBB, do I just follow the guide as if I'm modding for the first time? Because my wii was already modded but due to 4.3 update doesn't work now.

Cheers will attempt soon as I get the heads up don't want to be bricking or anything!

    Thanks again.
