I can't sense what froze, you posted two different ways to do something in the guide, one is a syscheck and the other is changing your IOS. If it froze on changing the IOS, then just reboot it and try again. If it froze on the syscheck, turn it off and try again. If if freezes again, post here what IOS is froze on.

Games do not require sm4.3, they don't even require a system menu of any version, just the setting.txt. The SM just loads the game, after that the wii reloads ios and runs the game. IOS is the operating system of the wii, system menu, channels, games, homebrew are software that run on ios.

You need to choose an ios with patches, usually ios250, perhaps 222/223, 236, 36
If you don't know what ios is patched, run syscheck from the App Manager of MMM.
Syscheck will tell you what ios have patches, if you need help post the syscheck.cvs file with your request.
    Load your patched cios

How long does this step usually takes? Because it been 5min and it seem like the Wii frozed..
This happens when you load a stub, try another, perhaps 36.

Try again, i have had MMM freeze while selecting IOS a few times and all you have to do is turn off you wii and go back to MMM. If it freezes again, report back here or run a syscheck and tell me if it freezes while its scanning.

I am a total nubnub. Anyway, I have read the guide comepletely a few times and I understand... I just need help getting started. Some background information I posted in a previous thread... basically my wii was modded and I updated to 4.3 and my homebrew is mia. I still have neogamma and wiiflow on the wii.

    So Chapter 1...

Do I format SD Card prior to Part 1- Launch Hackmii Installer. I wasn't sure if the instructions below Chapter 1 were idicating what the chapter is going to cover before going into parts or if they are steps i need to take before starting.

Second question... Do I need to keep any files on the SD card from my previous mod... or what?

    Thank you in advance
    Thank you.

    Hi Maui,

Sorry if this might not be the 100% appropriate place to be asking this.. but your guide brings the wii down to the 4.1 sys menu right? I'm looking to revert my wii before returning it (i wonder if best buy will even care if it's modded and i return it... because my credit card was overcharged).

I guess I'm just wondering if I should be following the 4.1 downgrade guides in order to revert the work done in your tutorial?

    Thanks a ton!

    Part 3- Uninstall ios58
    Select "Wad Manager"
    Select ios58 wad
    UNINSTALL ios58 wad
If ios58 wad fails to uninstall, press B to go back to the main menu
Select ios manager, select ios58, press - to delete ios58- go back to wad manager
