His system menu is 4.2u and in chapter 2 part 2 it says to update your menu to 4.1? I don't get this part. If I already have 4.2u, is this like a downgrading process? you didn't indicate whether I should skip this if I have 4.2 or 4.3 or something like that. Again, thanks for this guide but I'm extremely confused about that.
    it is optional to downgrade

Can you place the 4.1 system update iin the WAD folder and install as batch along with other wads ?
Do you downgrade 4.2 to 4.1 also ?

configurable usb loader issue: all backups go to black screen after their title menus

I followed all of your steps on my 4.2U wii. After loading any of my backups from the configurable usb loader, the games will load all the way to their respective title screens. After I press A to actually begin playing, i get a black screen and have to power off the wii. I've tried 5 games, and each game does this. I've tried using 250, 249, 222, and 223 for each of these games.
I have another modded wii with usb loader GX, and these same backups from the same HDD load and play fine. What could be happening?

    Thanks!

I have no idea, strange issue. Try to load them from the neogamma channel you have installed, if it is wbfs drive. Otherwise, try to reinstall the cios via wad or cios installer. Could be bad cios, bad app, bad sd card, ???

You could add sm 4.1to the batch install. Downgrading is optional, which ever you prefer..

I get the same issue as above when loading via wbfs usb drive via NeoGamma . I went ahead and uninstalled/reinstalled cios's 222, 223, 249, and 250 via Wad Manager- same issue still occurs. I then added USB loader GX to test a different app- same issue, so the issue isn't the app. Any other suggestions? This is really, really disappointing. I do appreciate your help!

You could try another drive, perhaps formated to fat32. You could try to run the cios install - Cios-r19.zip. You could try to load the loader app from a forwarder or from priiloader. Now let me get this straight, these game are actually booting, showing the health screen, going to the title screen, then crashing? On the same HD that works on another wii? I am off to bed, hope you sort it out.

i solved the problem. bootmii is not on the sd so it cant load anything. to load bootmii i have to put the bootmii folder on the sd. to load hbc i have to choose load title and choose hbc and not just click on HBC. coz priiloader 0.4 looks for an older title of HBC. the new HBC uses a different title. so problems solved. and i installed wad manager on SD to install wads and it works perfectly.

Thumbs up 4.3 Softmodded with ease from this link

Just a quick post to say thanks. I've tried other links and fallen flat, however this one managed to get me what I wanted on a 4.3 e Wii.

Thank you, thank you, thank you...
