No stay at 4.1. Never update your system menu again, you will never need to.
    Damn I suck!!!!

No you can't. No one in their right mind would make a guide on how to update to 4.3. There is no point.

Thanks again! Just one more thing to ask, after I softmoded my wii. Every time I turn off the wii, I have to launch hbc then turn it off, Otherwise the wii will be off with green lights on(and black screen on TV), so I have to hold the power to turn it off. Turn on or off the connect24 has no effects. Do you know how to fix it?

I have never had this issue, but I have heard of one other person with it. Are you positive that it isn't the standby (yellow) light?

I just installed using this guide after having lots of trouble with other USB loaders and am very content. Thank you for the help! Signed up just to say so.

If you don't mind my asking though, this other site says:

    4.3
Most homebrew is currently functional. BannerBomb v2 can't be used, but Indiana Pwns and Smash Stack still work. Team Twiizers has found an IOS exploit to allow installing the HBC and BootMii on 4.3. DVDX isn't installed as its code (the AHBPROT channel loading flag) is moved inside the HomeBrew Channel's launcher. Updating is recommended to gain access to USB 2.0 functionality. The hackmii installer v0.8 includes all these changes.
So I can see why some people would ask about having the upgrade. I am certainly not going to do it, but there's many out there who do advocate it and us newbies can be easily duped

    Anyway, great guide. I donated.

That means update your HBC to 1.0.8. IOS58 is needed which comes with 4.3 but this can easily be installed manually. You have this already so don't worry about it. So whenever someone tells you an update to 4.3 is needed or you should do it, it's a flat out lie. Ignore them and ask for help here if you need it.

    Hi,
Looking for a little help on a already softmodded wii, done through this guide. Brought off friend before he moved to US.
The wii works fine, usb loading (usb loader gx). Loading backup disc's works fine to.
This is my problem. I had a very bad day yesterday? My pc hard drive failed. it had my nand backup on there.
To top it off i had a little accident with my sd card (i stood on it and it broke).
Don't no what to do as i never used my sd card in wii i just backed everything on to pc and put it on sd card when needed.
I don't want to go through reinstall of softmod as i messed up my other wii that i did.
Really could do with some help here guys, don't want to mess things up.

    Any help much appreciated
