I did some googling and found this:
The person i bought this Wii said he installed Priiloader. But when i try to hold RESET button and pressing the Power button at the same time to start Priiloader it doesn't do anything and i see system menu instead of Priiloader menuI fixed it. Someone in my family set my Priiloader to boot System Menu with IOS36. It's working perfectly now.

Something similiar happened to me as well.
I'm using a Sandisk 2GB Sd card made for the wii, like the white one.
And, I'm trying to update Homebrew by overwriting it. My wii is 3.1 and i tried to put bannerbomb v1 in. When I put my SD card in, it recognized it, but no files were read. Like, all there was, was empty blocks.
I tried the alternatives : B, C, D , E , won't work.
What's going on?
I have followed this tutorial on my 3.2J wii and it worked great. Changed to NTSC-U.
Now before i had some games and they work except for mario kart. It gives me the error 1167 in backup disk channel. I know the error means bad burned disc or bad lens or "bad" dvd drive. But the thing is this game worked fine before i followed this tutorial (now don't think I am talking bad about the tutorial, not at all. In fact this tutorial is freaking awesome and I can't thank you guys enough =D). What can I do to make mario kart work again? Change some settings in the loader orso?
1) If you already have a private folder, rename it to privateold. Having saved channels on your SD Card will screw bannerbomb v1 and v2 up.
2) Get a boot.elf file and a bootmini.elf from Bootmii.org and put it on your sd card root.
3)Make sure you have a bannerbomb private folder on your SD Card root.
4) Take SD Card and put in Wii.
5) Click Wii button on bottom left. Go to data management. Click Channels. Click SD Card and it should load the load boot.dol/elf sign.
(You should have the latest version of bannerbomb v1 if you downloaded bannerbomb from Wiibrew. The bannerbomb.qoid.us file has bugs. Download from Wiibrew.)
CIOS-PACK.zip link is invalid or deleted.
**nevermind mediafire fixed
Hello everyone. My son accidently upgraded our previously softmoded 4.2u to 4.3u. The thing is that homebrew channel is still on the wii and it does run apps and acts like normal. Until I try to run usb loader gx then it just freezes. My questions is should I consider doing the 4.3 guide as if my wii was a brand new 4.3u wii or should just jump into chapter 2 of the guide? 2nd ? If I do this 4.3u guide will it keep it as a 4.3u or will it down grade it? sorry for the questions im a newbie
