I like your methods, If one step fails, just keep going. Not sure how well that approach will work for you in the long run. All steps must be completed with success before moving on to the next step. Failure to do this may lead your modding experience to FAIL.

Some questions have arisen from the new install, mauifrog! So I ask you to be patient with me!:

    - I want to run indiana PWNs as an extra brick protection measure, but I can't do it neither from the backup launcher channel (neogamma mod as you stated) or CFG! The rbk file is in the sd root, and I moved the Nintendo Backup(250).iso.zip as a wbfs with Wii Backup Manager to a pen... what am I doing wrong?

    - Now that I have the most recent softmod, is there a quick way of disposing of the load mii channel? or should I just leave it be?

    - Cfg's loading screen exhibits the following:
    v68
    249
    248[FRAG]
is this normal????? (sorry if this is a particularly n00b question...)

    - When I test my internet connection I am asked to do a Wii system update - Wii support code:61212... Should I Do it? I don't know how to get wi fi without it....? (the recommended Priiloader hacks are all enabled and SM 4.1 with update blocker is also in place...)...

Final one... please stick with me... (*desperate and lost*)

    - My 80gb Lacie hard drive freezes the retry count of CFG... I can't get it to run it.... (I've donne the Fat 32 tutorial (previously featured on this guide))...
    I checked this compatibility list
    GBA Temp Wiki List
and my drive is listed there... can you give me any thoughts on that?

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks and please respond to my appeals!

    -1035 error (4.3E)

Hi, nice guide but I seem to have hit a little problem (been up all night so starting to lose the plot a bit), when I get to step 2:
    Part 1- Wad Installs
Start HBC, press [HOME], Launch Bootmii

    Multi-Mod Manager Starts
    (via cboot2)
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii

Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A
24 wads should install without error
    "Press any button to continue"
Be sure all 24 wads install, very important

Mac users may get an error of 24 wads installing and 24 wads failing. There are only 24 wads in the modpack. This issue is caused by the Mac creating extra files and is not an issue.
Be sure all 24 wads install, very important
Do not proceed with error, 24 wads must install
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii

I get "3 did not complete" and the following seem to be the culprits.

    cios222[30]-v4.wad - title (-1035)
    cios223[37-30]-v4.wad - title (-1035)
    cios249[38]-v17.wad - title (-1035)

What do I do now as the guide tells me not to go any further but I have no idea what to do now.

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys/gals!!

    o71g,

Try to install those custom IOS (cIOS) again. You will need a patched (i.e., fakesigned) IOS to do this, which was the purpose of patching IOS36 earlier in the guide. It's possible that the WADs for these that you're trying to use are corrupted, in which case if your Wii is WAN-enabled (WiFi) you can choose to do a "network install" (may also say "Nintendo Servers") for these. Make sure that your IOS36 is successfully patched, and then try to reinstall each of these one at a time. Actually, the more I think about it: IOS222/223/224 are Hermes' custom IOS, which are included in ULoader v5.1. ULoader is a useful loader to have around (imho) in any event, so you can get this through this route. The cIOS249 you mention can be installed with cIOS38rev17 installer, and you can find that WAD on this site. Hope these suggestions help you.

A little new here? Please read the guide before suggesting people do different things then what the guide suggests. You are correct that he should try to reinstall them again using MMM but not the other stuff you mentioned. Stick to the instructions in the guide.
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Correct Port

That's right, but in the future you can save some time by saying "It's the port closest to the edge."
