there is no way to follow the instructions as written without overwriting...

it tells you to download and extract 2 files into the SD card.

each of those files (modpack zip) and (cios pack zip) each have a folder inside of them caled 'wad'

one of them has to be either overwritten or left out.

It will ask you to over write, but it should not be an issue. You can manually put the files where they need to be, then run the checksum. It seems the issue is the method you are extracting, what app are you using?

was able to get it working by putting everything besides the wad folder from the cios pack inside the root of the sd card. i just merged the contents of the cios pack wad folder with the wad pack already in there from the modpack and everything verified fine.

I have literally been searching for an answer to this all morning, here on these forums and on the web:

Do I really need 350 blocks of space? And if so, I'm just curious as to why I need that much space and what it's for!

When I started this morning I had something like 150 blocks. I was able to pare down significantly and get to around 262 blocks, but now I'm left with valuable save files. I even deleted my internet channel! It looks like the single largest file I have is my Super Smash Brothers saves. I'd really rather not lose all those hours of play time and unlocked characters...

So is it necessary to have 350 free blocks?

tried to mod a 4.3 wii with Lego StarWars, problem, I got up to the point where it says walk to the water tanks with the custom charachters, I get the option to press A to Hack, but when I do it Freezes and makes a buzzing noise and won't load anything or do anything else. Am I doing something wrong? and just so you know this is a Red Wii. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the response, Nightstah, but it turns out that once again I made a big newbie mistake. I have literally never dealt with my Wii's memory menus in the 5 or so years I've owned it, so I didn't realize I was just deleting the save data for several channels instead of the channels themselves. Once I finally went into the channel space, I was easily able to free up to 460+ blocks (didn't need Netflix now that I have it on my Boxee Box).

Thanks again for being patient with this newb

I'm redoing the guide from Chapter 2, even though I did it recently for the first time, because mauifrog told there would be no problem doing so. Everything is fine and dandy, but the first install step in Chapter 2 says: "Part 1- Wad Installs
Start HBC, press [HOME], Launch Bootmii
    Multi-Mod Manager Starts (via cboot2)
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii
Never Uninstall IOS, or SM you will brick your wii
Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A -
24 wads should install without error".

But what I got was 25 wads installed successfully. Is it supposed to be 25 wads? I did everything exactly as was indicated and used a pc running Win xp to do the extracting procedures... Help!

EDIT: I think I know why now! It also includes the Wii shop channel update! My bad!
